About Employer Our client, a well reputed U.A.E based ISO 9001 certified organization is a Major Onshore/Offshore Engineering, Procurement and Construction Contractor in the Oil & Gas industry. They also own and operate fabrication yards, pipe coating plants and a wide spread of marine construction barges. They are looking for candidates for the following positions.
Scope • The Weight Engineer shall be responsible for coordinating/compiling the Weight & COG input from different disciplines and issuing the weight engineering report of marine structures, required for the design and safe execution of marine operations.
Responsibilities • Ensure technical accuracy, quality and timely issuance of Weight Control reports of marine structures during the detail/construction engineering and physical weighing phases.
• Compilation of weight data of marine structures during the tender phase of projects for installation studies.
• Maintain a database of weights of structures for all projects.
• Ensure adherence to company procedures, client specifications and guidelines.
Requirements • Graduate in Mechanical / Civil engineering with a minimum of 2 to 3 years experience in the relevant field.
• Conversant with Industry standards, codes and regulations.
• Working knowledge in AutoCAD.
• Previous experience in weight estimation/engineering would be advantageous but not essential.
Salary Dhs.13- 15,000

Leave 24 days during the first year and 30 days thereafter.
